Bio Ag Management began with a simple purpose: to provide superior biological expertise, services, and fertilizer solutions to agricultural communities across Central Illinois, Northern Missouri, and Southern Iowa.

From the beginning, our work was grounded in the field- walking acres, working alongside growers, and helping improve soil health through practical, science-based management. Early on, we recognized that no two fields were the same, and that meaningful progress in agriculture required more than blanket recommendations. It required understanding the soil, respecting variability, and making decisions based on data rather than assumptions.

A Foundation Built on On-Farm Research

As our work expanded, so did our commitment to research. What started as field observation and applied agronomy naturally evolved into structured, on-farm research. For more than 20 years, Bio Ag Management has conducted field trials across diverse soils, crops, and management systems—developing a deep understanding of how biological and fertility products perform under real-world conditions.

This long-standing research focus allowed us to move beyond application and recommendation, into validation. We began working not only with growers, but with agricultural companies seeking independent, third-party evaluation of their products. Our role shifted from service provider to trusted research partner—delivering data that supports product development, performance claims, and confident decision-making.

Expanding Beyond Research

As biological agriculture advanced, so did the needs of the companies developing new solutions. Bio Ag Management continued to evolve-bridging the gap between research, product testing, manufacturing insight, and market readiness.

Today, Bio Ag Management operates primarily as a research and validation partner for manufacturers—providing contract research, product testing, and field-based insights that support product development, manufacturing, and market readiness.

The Creation of Calibrated Agronomy

As Bio Ag Management’s role in research and validation grew, it became clear that product sales required a separate focus and structure. To maintain research integrity and clarity in the marketplace, Calibrated Agronomy was formed as a distinct business dedicated to product sales and agronomic solutions.

Calibrated Agronomy allows Bio Ag Management to remain objective and research-driven, while providing a clear channel for product distribution and grower support. This separation ensures transparency, trust, and alignment—benefiting both partners and customers.

From the Field to BioPlot

Bio Ag Management’s research and product application didn’t stop at production agriculture. As biological programs were tested and refined, they were also applied to food plots—where soil health, plant performance, and biological function are equally critical.

From this hands-on application came BioPlot, a brand built on the practical use of Bio Ag Management’s biological solutions in food plot systems. BioPlot reflects the same commitment to soil health, performance, and real-world results—simply applied in a different environment.
